Study finds out an average man checks his phone 85 times a day

In a shocking revelation, a study has discovered that most of us grab our phones the moment we wake up. And, smartphones happen to be the last thing we check when we retire to our bed. However, we fail to realize often how much smartphones have begun to rule our lives.

According to a recent study, an average person tends to check his device nearly 85 times a day and spends a whopping 5 hours browsing the web and using apps.

It is roughly equal to a third of the time a person is awake and is twice as often as many several people realize.

The study was carried out by Nottingham Trent University, wherein people participated between the age of 18 and 33.  The study sought to find out the amount of time they spend on their smartphones and then compared their self-reports to their actual usage.
