Comprehensive Explanation on Roulette’s Inside Bets

Roulette comes with a variety of bets to use during the game. All these bets are divided into two main categories, viz., inside bets and outside bets. The names inside and outside are corresponding to the layout of the roulette table.

Any bets placed inside the roulette table where the chart showcases only rows of numbers are inside bets. There are at least 6 kinds of inside bets you can gamble upon. However, not all the roulette tables offer them. To find which casino has the games offering those games, you can simply compare online casinos and pick the best one for yourself.

Straight-Up Inside Bets

When you place your bet on a single number of the betting layout, it is known as a Straight-up bet. This bet usually corresponds to any one number from 1 to 36 along with 0 and 00 (in the case of American roulette).

To make your wager, you have to place your gaming chip or stack of chips on any particular number of your choice. Just make sure your chips do not touch the borderline and are neatly placed on the number itself. The payoff offered by a straight-up bet if you win is 35:1.

Split Bets

When you place a wager on 2 adjacent numbers of the roulette table, it is termed as a Split bet. To make a split bet, place the chips on the common border between the 2 adjacent numbers. You get a payoff of 17:1.

Street Bets

A bet consisting of a row of 3 numbers is known as a Street bet. These 3 numbers are again adjacent to each other on the roulette table. This is also known as row bet.

Examples of the street bet are 3-2-1, 30-29-28. Place your wagering chips on the border of the last number, implying to make your wager on that particular row. The payoff presented by street bet is 11:1.

Corner Bets

Also known as square bets, this bet lets you make a wager on four different numbers. The catch here is that the four numbers are connected to each other to form a block on the table. You place your chips in the center of the square to place your bet. The payoff here is 8:1.

Sucker Bets

Sucker bet can be placed on the combo of 5 numbers. This special case corresponds to the numbers 0, 00, 1, 2, and 3. Place your wagering stack of chips on the border connecting 0 and 1.

If the roulette ball lands on any of the above-mentioned numbers, you win the bet. The payoff is 6:1.

Line Bets

A wager placed on 2 adjacent rows consisting of total 6 numbers is a Line bet. This is also called a Double Street bet. Just place your betting chips on the border connecting the 2 rows on the left side of the table to make a wager. Furthermore, the payoff presented is 5:1.

Roulette game is straight as an arrow, which makes it one of the most thrilling casino games. It is evident from the above mentioned inside bets how uncomplicated this game is! If you understood inside bets, check out our section on outside bets too!
