She was hell bent on emulating the life of her co-star in The Replacement.

But Vicky McClure proved that in reality she is utterly unique as she donned a distinctive, quirky Safiyaa trouser suit at the Empire Awards on Sunday.

Walking the red carpet at The Roundhouse, the 33-year-old actress turned heads in her eye-catching ensemble.

Showing off her ample cleavage, Vicky donned a plunging cream top with a dramatic peplum hem and long sleeves.

Cinching in her slender waist, the star donned a thick silver belt which complemented her boxy black handbag by Aspinal of London.

She teamed the eye-catching top with matching cigarette trousers, whilst she added some height to her frame with a pair of black barely there heels.

Wearing her glossy chestnut tresses in loose waves, she finished off the look with a slick of rosy lipstick.

Vicky is best known for her role in the This Is England franchise - but recently delighted fans with her gritty new role in The Replacement.

The three-part BBC series told the tale of a new mum (Morven Christie) whose maternity replacement at work (Vicky) appears to be on a mission to ruin her life

Unfortunately for fans of the drama, it has already been confirmed that it will not be returning for a second series.

Despite being a renowned BAFTA-winning artist, Vicky recently revealed that she still suffers a series of setbacks and deals with the rejection by calling her mother.

She admitted: 'What I do is, I ring my mum and say "that was my part" and I am really annoyed.

'The reality is, of course, I am gutted. If I have gone to the audition it is because I wanted it and got some attachment to it.

'I have spent time at home preparing for it and then you don’t get it. And it hurts. That will continue to my dying day.'
