The three women spend most mornings sitting on a couch, in front of a room full of cameras.
So for Today Show stars Sylvia Jeffreys, Lisa Wilkinson and Sonia Kruger, looking fresh faced is important - even if it is still dark outside.
Makeup artists from Channel Nine spoke to News.com.au about the products that keep the presenters looking their best.
While some of them are basic products such as Carmex lip balm, others are a little more unusual.
Simple: The make up artist uses NARS pro-prime to reduce the shine on her face and a strober to give the presenter a bit of a lif
Jo Bentley, a senior makeup artist at the network, revealed she spritzes everyone's face with MAC Charged Water before applying makeup, and sometimes gives them a spray during the ad break to keep them looking fresh.
In 2014, just after starting with the breakfast program, Sylvia filmed her morning makeover for Today's YouTube channel.
She was seen arriving at the studio at 3.45am, make up free and dressed comfortably.
After she picked up her briefing for the morning, two makeup artists immediately began working on her face.

Late last year, Sylvia admitted to BeautiCate she didn't wear makeup until her brother suggested it when she was 21.
Now she's part of the Today team, and has access to their makeup room, she said she's a lot more intrigued.
'I looked like I had just come off the netball court,' she joked about her former appearance.
Radiant: Senior makeup artist Jo Bentley says doing Lisa's makeup is an easy job because of her strict skincare regime
'I couldn't be bothered, but now I have access to everything in the Channel 9 makeup room, I've developed an interest and can appreciate a good product.'
According to Ms Bentley, the bubbly blonde is still blessed with a flawless complexion.
'Sylvia's skin is smooth and tanned so shine free is her big thing without looking too heavy,' she said.
She uses NARS pro-prime to reduce the shine on her face and a strober to give the presenter a bit of a lift.
Naturally stunning: MUA Natalie Black said the secret behind Sonia's natural looking glow is 'firstly a primer, and ensuring that it's the right primer for your skin'
Lisa Wilkinson is another presenter unafraid to show her bare skin.
With an already youthful complexion, the 57-year-old shared a make up free selfie of herself before getting ready to present Carols By Candlelight over Christmas.
She billed her upcoming appointment in the makeup chair as a 'construction job', but makeup artist Ms Bentley explained that, because of the veteran presenter's strict skincare regime, it was an easy job.
Lisa's makeup go to is a Melli Cosmetics custom made lip gloss, which Ms Bentley said the journalist 'would drink if she could'.
Touch ups! Sonia is never seen without makeup, but also looks natural on screen thanks to the talented makeup artists
Sonia Kruger always looks flawless on screen.
Her artist Natalie Black said the secret behind her natural looking glow is 'firstly a primer, and ensuring that it's the right primer for your skin'.
'This should be followed by the right shade of foundation and concealer,' she added.
As for Sonia's makeup go-to - it's very simple. A simple $6 tube of Carmex as a lip prep will do her just fine.
