Hales & Roy Put Up Best Partnership Score Against Sri Lanka

The record-breaking and smashing partnership of England’s cricket team star openers Alex Hales and Jason Roy during the second one-day international match on June 24, 2016, brought an exciting 10-wicket win for the team against Sri Lanka. The England team were chasing for 254 runs target made by Sri Lanka for a loss of 7 wickets in 43.1 overs at Edgbaston.

Both the players put their best foot to score an unbeatable 256-runs from their partnership. Where Hales attained a score of 133 not out, Roy scored a not outscore of 112 to give a striking defeat to the Sri Lankan team during the match. The partnership score of Hales and Roy was the highest partnership target ever put up by England in ODIs while the fifth-highest opening score by any team in a 50-over international match.
