According to the National Gay Men’s Sex Survey, there had been a rise in the number of gay and bisexual men getting tested for HIV. The figures rose from 72% in the 2010 survey to 77% in the recent one.
The biggest survey of its kind was conducted on over 15,300 men by Sigma Research at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. It tried to explore the sex lives of men involved in other men and their purview towards sex safety.
The survey suggested that one in every four gay and bisexual men had never undergone an HIV test while one in three (36%) had no surety about their HIV status. Nearly 60% of surveyed men had a happy sex life. Men above 65s were most happy with their sex lives while the below 40s lot was the least happy.
