Freddie Gray Case: Maryland Appeals Court to Hear Arguments

The Maryland court agreed to hear through arguments on March 4 related to the Freddie Gray case. The main argument that will be discussed is whether Officer William Porter can be used to testify against his five other colleagues charged in the case.

The prosecutors said that the judges would not be able to come to a decision regarding Officer Caesar R. and Goodson Jr. unless they hear the version of Officer William Porter. Both of these officers were driving the police van in which Gray suffered a spinal injury.

Freddie Gray suffered a severe spinal injury. He died after a week of suffering the pain which led to protests and riots for his justice. There can be delays in the court trials after the case reaches the second-highest court. The new trial dates for the case are still not announced.
