Gerry Goffin Bids Adieu To The World

The globally renowned multi-dimensional lyricist, Gerry Goffin, took his last breath at the age of 75 in his native home at Los Angeles. The news about his death was confirmed by his wife Michelle Goffin, through an official statement.

In 1959, Gerry got hitched to Carole King and gave some superhit songs like Will You Love Me Tomorrow and The Loco-Motion. The couple got separated in 1968. Goffin wrote more than 50 top 40 songs paving the way for his global stardom journey. 

His most memorable works included Pleasant Valley Sunday for the Monkees, Crying in the Rain by the Everly Brothers, Some Kind of Wonderful and On Broadway for the Drifters and Take Good Care of My Baby by Bobby Vee. King and Goffin ruled the industry with their hits. They got a place in the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1987 and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame after three years.
