HUB Drop-in Center in Downtown Billings closing on October 1st.

The HUB is one of the essential sites in Billings, MT, as it serves as a mental health center and a drop-in center to help the homeless for the entire community of Billings. But there is some bad news for anyone who has heard about the site. The HUB Drop-in Center, like all other businesses, will be closing down their doors soon. The HUB is located at the intersection of 6th Avenue North and North 27th Street, and the drop-in center will be closing the Mental Health facility on October 01. The Mental Health Center is trying various ways to be efficient in delivering services, and they are contemplating moving some of the services to the main location. The county commissioner has said that the services will be available throughout the community and elsewhere. Many people believe that the decision to close down the mental health facility and carry on with the other programs for homeless people, Outpatient Therapy, and Psychosis Intervention clinics will have a positive impact on the community.

All have welcomed the new development as the center is more like a campus where one can just come in and get the services they desire – like getting a meal or maybe even counseling. The HUB, No doubt, will inevitably change the whole outlook of the area as it seamlessly transforms into a new business. The people living in the area are not seeing this development as a loss of service, but more as a change in the way service is provided. The HUB will continue to ensure that appropriate services are provided to the right people at the right time and in the most efficient manner.
