About MEPOS
The Middle East Pediatric Orthopaedic Society (MEPOS) has been established by Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgeons practicing in the Middle East region. All members of society take a special interest in Children’s Orthopaedics.
The society’s aim is to improve the detection, prevention, and care of children suffering from the musculoskeletal disease in the Middle East.
The affairs of the society are currently managed by an acting Executive Board elected by the founding members of MEPOS at the 1st Annual meeting in Dubai in October 2014. We welcome all Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgeons and Associated Health professionals with interest in Pediatric Orthopaedics to join the society and actively contribute to its growth.

About the MEPOS Meeting
Pursuing MEPOS mission to improve the detection, prevention, and care of children suffering from the musculoskeletal disease in the Middle East, this year’s MEPOS meeting will be held on October 15-17, 2020 at the Metropolitan Hotel Dubai, showcasing sessions in education and research as well as clinical outcomes with an emphasis on interactive sessions.
Now on its 7th year, the meeting runs annually and is an excellent, thought-provoking, and educational experience framed around topics such as:
- Treatment of neglected conditions in Pediatric Orthopaedics
- Hip related pathologies
- Prevention and early detection in Pediatric Orthopaedics
- Management of Pediatric trauma… and more
The meeting is preceded by pre-conference workshops on Advanced Clubfoot and Gait Analysis and features an invited faculty of world-class speakers, researchers, and educators and provide in-depth insights into various pediatric orthopedic musculoskeletal and developmental disorders from their respective perspectives and offer opportunities for academic/scientific exchange, networking opportunities, as well as keeping abreast on current worldwide advances in Pediatric Orthopaedics.
The MEPOS meeting is also co-located with the Middle East Pediatric Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy Seminar (16 October), which will also provide in-depth insights into various pediatric orthopedic, musculoskeletal, and developmental disorders from a physiotherapy and occupational therapy perspective.
