The third installment of the China International Import Expo (CIIE) is scheduled to occur in November, and a record number of organizations and delegates are expected to attend the event at the national exhibition and convention center (NECC). In the wake of concerns related to the COVID-19, the organizers of the event have instituted a very robust and comprehensive mechanism in place that will help to ensure the safety of visitors.
VeChain and DNV partnership
Partnering in the effort, VeChain has joined hands with My Care methodology of DNV to provide safe stay to visitors in InterContinental Shanghai Hongqiao NECC. InterContinental Shanghai Hongqiao NECC is the only luxury hotel located within the NECC and can be easily accessed by visitors.
We have already witnessed the rollout of the My Care infection risk management methodology by VeChain and DNV in May earlier this year. This blockchain-based technology specifically focused on managing and reducing the risk associated with covid-19 infection and has been used by several hotels in the hospitality industry, including ITC hotels and Hongqiao State Guest Hotel, among others.
Using this methodology, these hotels can provide a safe and secure stay for the visitors while producing the risk management report that is issued by the DNV GL. It is also important to note that InterContinental Shanghai Hongqiao NECC is the very first hotel in Intercontinental Hotels Group PLC (IHG), which has got this infection risk management methodology in its kitty.
In the wake of increased risk scenarios related to COVID-19, the risk management processes based on the blockchain solutions are increasingly becomes more prominent in their relevance.
