New insights of Pompeii victims revealed through CT Scans

Thanks to modern-day technology, archaeologists have now been able to get deep into the details of victims who lost their lives during the devastating Pompeii eruption in 79AD. A total of 86 preserved bodies had been found laced with ash during excavation. Experts have been at work to do the analysis of entombed bodies using the CT scanner at the site. CT scans have revealed some interesting details about the bodies beneath the plasters, and according to the results, these corpses have got their teeth in pretty good condition. This can be attributed to their healthy lifestyle, nutritious diet, and low sugar content in their meals. Many victims were found with head injuries, which suggest that rubble might have fallen on them during the eruption causing death to the victims.
