Sanjay Dutt, the Bollywood Star, has Been Diagnosed With Cancer

Life is a bittersweet experience for all, but for the Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt, the son of late Sunil Dutt and Nargis Dutt, life seems to be a constant mess of tragedies. Fans of Sanjay Dutt are praying for his recovery as the 61-year-old Bollywood actor has been diagnosed with acute lung cancer, as per the reports of Indian media houses.

Last Tuesday, Dutt posted on social media that he intends to take a break from social life because he needs rest and medical care. The journalist, Komal Nahta, probed deeper into the social media post and discovered the shocking truth, that the real reason behind Dutt’s break from social media is that the senior actor has been diagnosed with lung cancer, and will be flying to the US for advanced medical treatment.

Dutt rose to fame and glory in the 1980s for essaying roles in a series of action movies where he performed dangerous stunts all on his own, earning the nickname “Deadly Dutt” from his huge fanbase. Acute struggle set in with the death of his mother, Nargis Dutt, that drowned the actor in heavy substance abuse. His life took an even worse turn after the Bombay terrorist attack of 1993. Following the orchestrated attack of bombings, Dutt was convicted of possessing the guns and rifles that were used for carrying out the bomb blasts. The mafia world had staged the bombings, but Dutt’s unbeknownst involvement in possession of ammunition resulted in a severe tragedy in which he served a term in prison for five years.

Cut to the recent times, Dutt had been admitted to the ICU of Lilavati Hospital after he complained of chest pain and breathlessness. He was released on Monday upon being tested negative at the COVID test. However, the doctors issued a statement last Wednesday confirming that the dearly loved and respected actor had lung cancer of stage 4. The senior pulmonologist, Dr. Jalil Parkar, refused to make a statement on the issue to the media house reporters.
