Study Proves Viagra Reduces Heart Attack

Viagra, the popular impotence drug, has the potential to reduce the risk of heart attack or heart failure in males, suggested a recently conducted research by the University of Manchester. The experiment was conducted on 6,000 diabetic male patients who took Viagra to counter erectile dysfunction.

The results showed that the drug reduced the heart attack risk significantly by its key component named PDE5i. Heart failure occurs when a person’s heart fails to pump sufficient blood in different parts of the body at the right pressure. The chief ingredient which relaxes the blood vessels also prevents damage to the heart cells.

The participants of the study did not bore as many difficulties which otherwise similar patients not on the drug are subjected to face. Professor Andrew Trafford and his team are now striving to test Viagra in preventing arrhythmias or abnormal heart rhythms.
