Trump Addresses Nation in Shadow of Lincoln on the Eve of Inauguration Ceremony

President Donald Trump addressed the citizens from the Lincoln Memorial. Remembering both Abraham Lincoln and Martin Luther King Jr. he said, “You’re not forgotten any more.” Trump was accompanied by his wife, Melania along with other members of his family. 

Trump claimed that he would “make America great again.” As soon as he walked up the steps, he spent a minute in silence acknowledging former President Lincoln who helped the country win the civil war and end slavery. His supporters gathered wearing baseball caps that had “Make America great again” written on them. The area wasn’t full and due to the rise in temperature after dark, a lot of them left the gathering early.
